The rich heavy body with a syrupy, earthy, nut like flavor of this specialty coffee is produced by the rich volcanic high elevation soil of Sumatra Indonesia characterized by the 'natural dry process' after harvesting. This Sumatra coffee is grown by small landholders and hand picked when ripe. The ripe red coffee cherries are then pulped by hand and dried in the sun rather than rinsed. The result of this natural processed coffee is very heavy body and very full flavor. Natural processed Sumatra flavors are sweet and somewhat earthy but very rich.
