A Specialty Coffee favorite among our customers the name "French Roast" usually denotes a very dark roast. This traditional dark roast is tastefully rich in flavor with a full body but without the burnt taste. We use strictly high-grown, hard-bean coffees that are dense enough to stand up to this very hot roast. When very hard coffee beans are roasted they chemically change at later stages and at higher temperatures allowing for a little later flavor development in the roast. When high-grown, top-quality Arabica coffee is used, the result is a rich, intense cup of coffee.
